Celtic Clippers - Pet Stylist

Amanda Davidson, head groomer at Celtic Clippers, was born in Befast Ireland (hence the accent).  She has recently married and moved to the United States starting Celtic Clippers in 2012.  

In 2000, Amanda started grooming horses for her daughter; competing on horses in dressage, show jumping, and cross country.  Others, seeing her talent, asked her to groom their horses for competition.  In 2005, Amanda graduated from pet grooming school and finished her city in guilds exams with honors thus furthering her career, what allowing her to keep close to her fond love for animals.  She worked as a professional groomer for a year before starting her own grooming business out of her home.  Over the years, she has helped start two other grooming shops around the Belfast area along with running her own shop before coming to her new venture in the states.

Amanda has a Advanced City and Guilds 7750 in dog grooming.  Amanda is a member of the British Dog Groomers Association and has taken numerous seminars and continuing education classes in London, Spain, and in the United States to keep up with styles and equipment.  

Amanda, in her education, has trained in first aid, skin conditions, and parasites to be able to safely spot health conditions that can be taken care of with over the counter products or advise If you need to speak to your veterinarian.  

Amanda currently loves her English Springer (Harley), and has had the enjoyment of her past dogs; standard poodle (Roxy) and two Shih-Tzu’s (Dolly and Lilly), a Rottweiler (Tanya), and a Toy Poodle (FiFi).
